We’re a family run, 100% off-grid hostel offering warm hospitality in the Christian tradition to travellers from any background. Our hostel sits on 26-acres of native bush in the hills above Tasmania’s Huon Valley. For working-holiday makers, we’re ideally located near major orchards and only 30min from Hobart. We host shared meals for guests roughly every other day, we run a free shuttle to local farms during picking season, and we have a large team of local volunteers keen to assist guests during their stay. We also host Pilgrim Artists, a co-operative for artists who follow Jesus to think seriously about faith and art. As part of Pilgrim Artists, we run an artists festival every June.
We can definitely use volunteer help. Contact us if you’d like to join our team. There are plenty of landcare tasks (gardening, wood splitting, etc) and hostel tasks (cleaning, cooking, handy-man, etc) where we could use your volunteer muscle. If you’re a disciple of Jesus, we could also use your help running our small non-profit.
